I thought I would kick off this blog with a Day in the Life post. I always enjoy seeing them on other people's blogs and I thought it would be fun to try one myself.
So, this is why the blog is called Blurry Housekeeping. Because many mornings I am up this early and my eyes barely function at this hour. Mostly because I have a bad habit of staying up too late the night before.
But when I wake up to this it starts the day off right. I made an effort to shine my sink the night before. Partly for these pictures and partly because when I wake up to a clean kitchen it lifts my mood instantly. I'm not a devout Flylady follower but some of her tips have helped me a lot around the house. And if you've never heard of Flylady, her main #1 tip is to shine your sink. It makes a world of difference to see that shiny clean sink. Trust me.
I baked a pie last night, y'all. Isn't it pretty?! This will be the night's dessert.
After some screen time to ease into the day I set little man up with some play-doh....
While I made french toast. I made a big batch so I could stash some in the freezer but my teeny little pan only does one slice at a time! Since these pictures were taken I was able to buy an electric flat top griddle secondhand and that has helped so much with my batch cooking!
After breakfast we had a train infestation.
And I did a couple small projects around the house. I changed out some of the switch and outlet covers since they were getting old.
After lunch we took a walk. I totally forgot to take lunch pictures. It was just sandwiches. I love taking a walk in our neighborhood when the weather is nice. We are in a townhouse so our fenced backyard is very small. But we are blessed to live right up against a linear park that is full of lush green space, a walking path and ends in a playground on both sides.
For coffee #3. Um....that's a lot. I don't usually drink 3 cups in a day. But getting up at 7 am will do that to ya!
Wow ....you did a great job of capturing the day. That pie looks yummy and I love the trains.
